Hello Emily,
I have been a long and true fan of the Mrs. Jeffries series since 2003.
It is nice to hear that "The Feast Of St. Stephen" is now in a second printing.
I have ALL your Mrs. Jeffries series except The Feast On St. Stephen.
I have read the series until Sweeps The Chimney and I deliberately keep the rest to savour them very slowly so that I can 'meet' my friends for a longer period.
Your old books in the Mrs. Jeffries series are out-of print(except the first three),so the only way to get your books is through online market i.e ebay or abebooks. They sell like hot cakes!
Please do not stop writing this series. One thing that make you different from other cozy writers, is that, on average, your books are less than 300pgs (which is more than enough to plot and build the characters without unnecessary padding!). Your plots are tight. Your priority is to have a good plot in each of your books (not characters but long-lasting fans definitely love all the characters in your books).
P.S. Recently I've just read the synopsis of a vintage mystery of Torrey Chanslor book at the Rue Morgue website(published by Rue Morgue). In the book, there is a character named Luty who carries a bag that keeps a small pistol. It struck me that this is similar to Luty Crookshank!
Keep on writing.
Thank you.
Best Wishes,
Ainil from Malaysia.
